Clemently Relaxing

聖天脱力

Morning breaks. Since yesterday empty belly to sate.
But I have utterly no motivation to do anything.
We are the ones without any drive.
We are the ones they call ‘relaxing’.
Yes I’m relaxing.
Morning’s broke you know.

Somebody is calling out my name loud as they can and
it is really annoying.
Yes ah morning tapping on my door a knock and
We are the ones without any drive.
We are the ones—portals unsealed who—right there lax all of our energy.
Morning’s come for you.

Clemency relaxes.
Clemency relaxes.
Clemency relaxes.
Clemency relaxes.

But I have…

* Wordplay between homophones 晴天 (Seiten; 'good weather') and 聖 天 (Sei ten; 'holy heaven'); an equation is being made between the morning and divinity, as though the morning light is a divine spirit trying to urge the narrator out of bed.

* Wordplay in abundance around the word 脱力 (Datsuryoku; 'the act or sensation of energy draining out of you; the sensation you feel when you relax and lose energy'). 脱力系 (Datsuryokukei) is a positive word meaning 'a person whose personality makes you feel relaxed; someone whose presence just naturally eases your stress,' but 脱力 itself is negative, related to feelings of lethargy, listlessness, exhaustion, giving up, and in this case depression. The divine spirit grows exasperated with the narrator as he fails to get up, and the narrator would feel completely drained the second he opens his bedroom door should he answer it; recontextualising 脱力系 to mean 'a person whose personality is so listless he cannot get out of bed'.
