Ideas for Raum's current-day body. Cute, but discarded, since it's too close to a weird maship of Lisbet and Arsene. I decided his current body would be female to make it very distinct from his actual body and underline Raum's nature as a bodyhopping spirit, while also being IC for him. (Raum idolises women a lot and his power fantasies are generally feminine, though he's equally comfortable with males as long as they're young, fit, and attractive).

Various Mephis and developing his 'plainer' design. Finally getting the right vibes for Mephi. I had a developed idea for his 'Archon' design (bottom left), but wasn't completely satisfied with it and couldn't figure out why, so the 'plain' design came about as a placeholder, which also works IC for Mephi. Detailed forms he takes aren't coincidental; he consciously designs them, gets dissatisfied with them, discards them, reworks them... the plain design is what he defaults to when he doesn't know what, or doesn't have, a statement he wants to make.

Older Phoenix 'what-if' idea. I imagine he would've grown up to have sharper, stronger features than, and be taller than Aquila. It's weird to think about but it is what would've happened. Older Phoenix implies he didn't go completely crazy in his teens, so he's still weird but he's more of an artsy eccentric, not a complete suspicious mess, and would've matured enough to handle things and people better. He'd still be elitist and lacking in friends because of it, but more patient and not so aggressive.

Early Swift design ideas. I thought about incorporating more overtly animalistic elements, but decided it was too weird. I also didn't want to make a society of actual furries a thing in the setting when it was otherwise pretty grounded.

For a good two or three years I completely forgot Aster's 'crazy' design included an overcoat and the results were so awkward, girl, cover up.

SHEET OF BABIES!!! We have baby Verti, baby Cam, baby Raum, and baby Reyl. All of these are adorable but my favourite is Raum. He was really sweet as a kid.

Sheet of design ideas for Raum's ghoul form, which I mentally christen as the 'thot bird'. A bit lewd but that's the nature of it. (For those unfamiliar with Raum, his ghoul functions like a succubus.) Considering how flashy it is you'd think I'd have more to comment about it, but ghouls really are that one-note.
One thing to say, I suppose, is that this stupid thing is completely brainless and doesn't have conscious thought, hence why it's getting the 'it' treatment. It's a good example of a ghoul with an overtly human appearance, and even the ability to form fluent sentences, but that operates off the same basic predatory instincts as a big ugly angry roaring monster trying to kill you. (Because that's what it's doing).

Sheet of Raums to refresh from the stupid thot bird. Phoenix will protect Raum from the nightmare of deep thotting.

A bunch of Reyls, with ideas for Reyl's ghoul form since I might as well do hers if I've already done Raum's. Reyl's ghoul never comes up in-story so I have more to say about it here. Firstly, its disposition is a lot more overtly jaded and sombre than Reyl's usual confident spitfire attitude, though it is of course still highly aggressive. I imagine its feathers are sharp as knives, even though they're pliable, and might even cut its own skin as well as harming humans who touch it. It paralyses people with its voice, ties them up in its sharp coils of thorns, and brings them back to its lair. It then keeps them there indefinitely as immobilised prisoners and subsists off of their blood, being able to incur bleeding through eye contact. The thorns it binds people in also inject them with an addictive nourishing substance that makes the whole ordeal feel painful but weirdly not that objectionable.
Ironically, even though Reyl is a habitual murderer and Raum is notably not, Reyl's ghoul is way tamer than Raum's, which actually kills everyone it targets. Reyl's ghoul just keeps its victims prisoner and actually wants them alive (though it is kinda dumb so accidents+rage fits happen).
Bottom row is some everyday, casual Reyls.

'Let's try a dynamic pose! With depth and perspective!'. Reyl's a good model for these, since she's active, flexible, and adaptable to fit in most all situations without it getting too weird.

More Reyl. Focusing more on her quieter, domestic or 'sombre' side after thinking about it for the ghoul. Reyl's personality shifts when she's 'out' of gang mode for the day, and she actually emotes things other than swagger and anger. It basically only happens around Raum or her romantic partners, though. And please remember that she killed Raum and many of her romantic partners, because she is highly controlling and goes full rage mode when her grip isn't 'being respected'.

Early design ideas for Lisbet's space suit. I haven't solidified a design for this yet, so some ideas from this might creep in but it's mostly discarded.

Baby Raum and Reyl. I like Raum here a lot, staying guarded behind Reyl.

Baby Raum doing the dishes. A lot of the homes the twins stayed in were dirty or messy, and Raum liked helping his caretakers clean up. (They had one good early caretaker who taught Raum how to do this as a proper activity together, and in later homes where the caretakers were more lax he just did it of his own accord).

Baby Raum isn't even 10 years old and he already has enough life experience to be tired of hearing your junk.

Phoenix as my model for a dynamic pose experiment has apparently tripped over something, which for him would be pretty typical.

IRL Poppy design ideas. Haven't settled on a final design yet, but Poppy IRL has a notably different (and more realistic) appearance to how she presents herself in her dreamworld.

Painting test with Verti. I still really like this, but painting in this style takes way more patience than I have to do it consistently.
